Dear Diary,
I had a horrible, terrible, terrifying day! It came out of the blue. But I guess I should start from the beginning...
Yesterday was a perfectly normal day or at least as normal as it could be in this house. I went to school, came home, ignored Buffy(my sister.. I've mentioned her in previous entries) and spent some time with Mom.(It was almost like it used to be before she got sick.) She even helped me with my homework, it wasn't easy. I had tons. Most of my teachers don't bother to check with each other on the amount. They just dole it out and expect kids to keep up.
But anyway back to Buffy. She's been acting a little weird lately every time I come into the room everyone stops talking and things get real quite. but I just figured she's been worried about fighting some girl who's prettier than she is.
That so wasn't the case. I just found out that I'm... I'm THE KEY! I don't even understand what that means. Even Spike(who knows everything) couldn't tell me what I am.
What am I? Am I even real? Tell me what I am!
Somebody help me, please!
Dawn scratched out the last sentence, dropped the pen, closed the book and flung it towards the dresser. She stared at the ceiling as she flopped back onto the bed. What was she thinking? Tears ran down her face and wet the blanket beneath her. Who would want to help a thing?
