Characters/Pairing: Riley
Maggie Walsh had taught them that the demons were mindless creatures bent on destruction. These creatures had no sense of self-awareness much less capable of controlling their instincts. They were nothing like humans and therefore had to be brought in at all costs.
And that's where they came in. Their job was to capture these creatures and hopefully they would be able to stop the mindless killing. And so far the plan worked. Riley glanced over at Hostile 17. Once he was a vampire, a brutal killing machine and now with the chip in his head he would be no more dangerous than a toothless dog.
Suddenly, a crashing sound echoed through the compound as Forrest shoved the latest monster into the clear enclosure. The monster tried to fight its way back out but it was no use, Forrest gave on last shove and locked the door. He laughed as the creature hit its head against the wall and howled in pain.
Riley watched as Forrest walked away whistling. Forrest's treatment of the creatures that they caught was starting to bug him. At first he had thought Forrest was in a hurry to get them behind the glass so that the threat of escape wouldn't be an issue. But he was beginning to believe that wasn't the case. And he didn't like that one little bit.
Riley liked to think of his team as The Monster Squad, the good guys. They kept Sunnydale safe from the creatures that most of the population knew nothing about. The capture and containment of these HST's was nothing personal, it was their job.
But for some reason Forrest must have forgotten that. Maybe he should remind Forrest that he was supposed to be one of the good guys.
