Can we post animated icons?

Third largest library in North America, ugliest library in the world.
It's supposed to look like a peacock. Honestly. Why they would (a) want a library to look like a peacock, and (b) decide that prefab concrete is the best way to render a peacock in architectural form is beyond me. I take solace in the fact that when designing the foundations of Robarts, the engineers forgot to take into account that its fourteen stories would be filled with books. Hence, it is slowly sinking into the ground.

ETA: an icon of Giles hangin' at my College:
Just 'cause I think it would be cool if he did.
Damn the dissenters! Hurrah for old Trinity!

And also of the Fang Gang outside City Hall:
<- This is kinda an in-joke. Like all of Canada, living next to the USA has given Toronto an inferiority complex. We're always reiterating that we're a "world-class" city.
We're right up there with New York! Really!

Thanks for the fascinating library facts. I remember a really hideous temple being built near my home, so I feel the pain of ugly architecture...

Fort Book? I love it!

We never nicknamed that temple. Unless "that godawful eyesore" counts as a nickname...

That is the funkiest looking library. And the fact that it's sinking into the ground is hilarious.

And of course, animated icons can be submitted. These are all really good. I really like the third one. Doyle just doesn't get enough love.

The animated one is just cracking me up. I learned something new today too from that icon so YAY! But still, cracking me up with the turkey thing. Such an ugly building, so bad.

I love that last one too. I think it is just perfect. Totally flawless, great coloring, great cropping, awesome text. It is like just bam! stunning.

inferiority complex? Well, Toronto is getting a lot of film projects these days, from what I understand. Surely that makes it world class?

Loved that first icon!

I've heard it's a beautiful city, but it's the "north" part that bothers me. I'm really as far north as I'd like to get -- except during summer vacations.
