Title: And The List Goes On
Author:

Rating: G
Word Count: 272
Prompt: 080 (Lorne/Fred)
Characters: Lorne, Fred
A/N:
Lorne sat at the bar absentmindedly twirling his seabreeze, watching unconcerned as some of the contents sloshed onto his hand. Usually he’d considered it a crime to waste such a delicious drink; it had just the right amount of sea and the perfect breeze, but not today.
It was strange how his feelings had changed. He’d always thought the best thing to ever happen to him was finding the portal out of Pylea. Until that is he’d met Fred.
Even after everything she’d suffered at the hands of his own people she’d never once held it against him. With her shy smile and endearing ways she’d come to mean a lot to him in a short amount of time.
Lorne raised the glass to his lips and drained it in one gulp, before sliding it across the bar to be refilled. He wanted nothing more than to be told the last few days had been nothing but a nightmare and it was over now. Sadly he knew that wasn’t going to happen. Fred was gone and with her went the best part of him. She’d been his best friend and he wasn’t even sure he’d told her how much she’d meant to him.
He’d always had a list in his mind of the worst things that had ever happened to him, living in Pylea, Caritas getting destroyed, having to return to Pylea, and the list goes on. But no matter what Pylea had always been at the top of the list. He never thought anything could be worse but he'd been wrong he'd lost Fred.
God, he was going to miss her. -
