There wasn't a lot of room in the shower. Definitely wasn't meant for two people -- especially not when one of the two people was his size – but he couldn't stop himself from following her in.
Never could.
And he was pretty gorram certain, he never would be able to stop himself. 'Course, he wouldn't ever admit that fact to no one on the ship. Not even countin' the fact that they were now as close to him as his own family.
No. He would never tell anyone that he loved Zoe. That he'd follow her to the end of the world.
That he step out into the black if it meant her happiness.
Naw. He'd never say any of that to no one.
… No one but her.

He pulled off his shirt as soon as he stepped in behind her; letting his hands drop down her dark skin, falling over her curves... following the same paths the rivulets of water took.
Slowly.
Ever so slowly.
She turned in his arms, her hands moving to his belt buckle as she looked up at him, a soft, knowing smile gracing her generous lips, “What took you so long, cowboy?”
