Title: A Monster After All
Author:
angelus2hot
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 253
Prompt: 142(Night of the Demon 1950's)
Characters/Pairing: Spike(Spike/Buffy implied)
He was vampire. The need for blood was as natural to him as breathing was for humans. But for years he had ignored the siren's call. For her.
Tonight was different. He was unable to resist any longer. The scent of her blood called to him begged him to take what he had to have and the consequences be damned.
He bent his head towards her as she reached for him. He’d had dreams of drinking her blood but that was before…..Oh god, no! He couldn’t do this. He loved her. But he was a demon and her blood smelled so sweet, so delicious.
Even as he told himself he couldn’t, shouldn’t, he slid his hands around her back and pulled her closer to him. He wanted to go slow, to savor this moment but he'd denied himself human blood for too long.
A low growl escaped him as his fangs scraped the soft skin of her neck before sinking deep. Blood rushed into his mouth, slid down his throat, warm, wet and pulsing with life. He wanted more. No, he needed more. A lot more. His arms tightened around her as he drank deeply until he was completely sated and her lifeless body lay limp in his arms.
Carefully he laid her body on the bed and covered her gently with the blanket. He glanced down at the lifeless body of the woman he’d loved and wished he could’ve been the man that she deserved but he was a monster after all.
