“I win!” I leant forward to scoop up the two lilac point Siamese, the pretty little Burmese and the six ink black kittens that made up the pot. A pale hand shot across the table and forced my fingers backwards until I winced with the pain and stuck them in my mouth for comfort.
“No – they’re mine.”
I started to complain, but the demon sitting next to me placed his hoof firmly on my foot in warning, so I shut up.
The kittens swarmed up the black tee the vamp was wearing then curled round his neck, purring. Little traitors.
